Welcome to Eva Koudela's Contemporary Art Site.

                     My aim when I create something is to allow the viewer to connect to a greater part of themselves. To create a space that allows people to let go of their everyday concerns and step into a place of wonder and gratitude, where they can see a bigger picture of what this world is about and who they really are. It is my belief that all great art connects one to the divine, or at least facilitates this connection, and while of course it cannot 'make' the viewer do anything, it can provide the opportunity.

                  Throughout the times there have been many different ways this was accomplished, depending on the pervading culture and peoples belief systems. As the culture changes people are willing to open to different things. Great art allows the viewer to open and at the same time pushes them further than they have gone so far.

                       This site is the beginning of a comprehensive database for all of my art work. I tried to categorise them somewhat as much as they lend themselves to such arbitrary notions. The site is continually updated, as I make and scan in more paintings.
